Our History

 

The Give Group was inspired by the founder and CEO, Cynthia Winston-Azogini.  Her personal experience from growing up in the Mississippi Delta, her professional experience from work and volunteerism with organizations that served in limited resource areas along with landing a job as a consultant with the Foundation for the Mid-South, and Mississippi Center for Nonprofits and Delta State University all contributed to the birth of The Give Group.

 

While serving communities throughout the Mid -South, Dallas, TX and her beloved birth area the Mississippi Delta,  Azogini felt a deep desire and a calling to undergird community leaders,  particularly those working in limited resource communities (urban and rural) and remote areas. Therefore she founded The Give Group, LLC in 2008. In carrying out the purpose of the company, Azogini along with a diverse team of experts and alliances from various professional fields across the country strive to advance the sustainability and impact of nonprofits, community and faith-based organizations and churches. 

 

In 2014, the group’s emphasis was redirected from its original focus of technical assistance and training to serving as a resource information intermediary. The transformation began with adding state of the art technologies and research tools, the addition of skillful and talented team members, the creation of a newly interactive website, and the creation of a multifaceted connection platform that aids organizations in reaching new donors and forming new partnerships. This further allows us to strategically position organizations for opportunity and self-sufficiency.
