Church and Faith-Based Workshop Topics
We are very excited over the launching of a series of educational sessions created specifically for churches and faith-based organizations, under Gods holy guidance and direction. These sessions are exclusively designed to enhance your current church or organization management system and regulatory compliance tools, tools which help the church’s business run more efficiently and effectively.
Specific training topics will be based on common needs and related challenges of the religious organization.
Church Assets Protection
Are your church’s assets on solid ground? Did you know that the Articles of Incorporation serves as church’s primary legal document? Churches that alleviate this document, with the decision not to become incorporated, put themselves at great risk. There are many advantages in becoming incorporated. Unfortunately, a great challenge facing many church leaders is having a clear understanding of the process, options and benefits of incorporation. Once incorporated, there is often a need for direction. This workshop will offer preventive solutions to aid in reducing internal and external risks that results in loss and damage to churches’ assets. We are in a battle. But we need not worry.
Same-Sex Marriage Ruling
The implications of SCOTUS on June 26, 2015 radically changed how marriages in America are defined. The Same Sex Marriage (SSM) Ruling ramifications at national, state and local levels will take time; however, the decision does raise several questions about how the ruling will affect churches and church affiliated organizations. This workshop will share important information, address those ramifications and provide very helpful safeguards and tools that are necessary for churches to appropriately maintain its Biblical standards while protecting itself against a public policy law.
Church Contribution Receipts
Are your contribution receipts hampering or helping your congregation members when they file their tax returns at the end of the year? Do you know contribution receipt rules? Who administers the rules? This workshop covers general information on contribution procedures and requirements. We outline what items should be included on your written church’s contribution receipts and reporting and record keeping.
Ministry Funding
If you have a limited budget, you may be asking where can we find funding for the outreach ministry of the church. To be successful, a church first must have a purpose, plan and people “3Ps”- then action. This interactive workshop will allow leaders to rotate through the different strategies of “3Ps” to generate hands-on information, practices, and experience in developing a ministry fund action plan.
Succession Planning
Change is hard but as senior pastors and board of directors, you are obligated to do smart thinking as it relates to the affairs of the church. This forward thinking includes succession planning for the next generation leaders. What would happen if there were a succession now that nobody sees coming? What would happen if your current pastor got sick? What if he/she were hired away? What if he/she were no longer able to do his job? This candid it and open discuss workshop will be an opportunity for you to begin the succession talk (if you haven't already), to hear from others, to learn the importance and to gain the techniques to carry out a successful succession planning process within your church. This interactive workshop will examine common reasons for such problematic relationships and what can be done to fix these situations. We will also address what an effective and healthy pastor-board relationship produces - a vital, healthy church body - and how it translates into fulfilling the great commission.
